I've heard it said more then once that some people don't consider car racing a sport. Well I'm here to beg the differ.
I think NASCAR, ( car racing), is the best sport going.
How many of you been to a hockey game or a football game?
How many times have you seen fights on the field or on the ice?
How often are you able to go and meet your favorite player after the game is done, to stand there right in front of him/her and talk?
How many times have you seen a team go on strike because they wanted more money to play?
In NASCAR, you wont see that stuff go on.
Some of the driver's may get in to a little tiff but you don't see them punching the hell out of one another.
When the race is all done and over with you can walk right over the your favorite driver and say Hi.
And you will never see your driver go on strike and demand more money.
They race for the love of it. They do what they do best and they are all damn good at it.
Just about every driver in NASCAR are friends. A lot of them consider each other as family. That's how close they become off the track.
Now in my eyes that's the way all sports should be.
That's NASCAR!

All this talk about retiring Dale Earnhardt's #3 car.
I really don't know what to think about that.
In a way, it would be nice to see that car on the
track again, but then again, we will all know
Dale wont be in it.
I'll have to get back to you on this subject.
